Description
Dermatological astringent-estíptico in aerosol topical.
Micronized aluminum is an adjuvant in the healing process of external wounds. It has astringent properties, that is, it favors the precipitation of the proteins, which explains its beneficial action on the cicatrization. Due to this astringent effect, it is also attributed some antimicrobial activity.
ALUSPRAY projects the aluminum onto the wound in the form of a thin film, which completely covers the wound. The adhesion of the obtained layer favors a good protection of the fabrics against dirt and insects.
Aluminum as metal does not cross the cell membrane and does not exert any systemic pharmacological action or toxic effect. When aluminum is accidentally ingested because the animal licks the wound treated with ALUSPRAY, its passage into the bloodstream is very limited and therefore can not accumulate in the tissues. In addition, the toxicity of orally administered aluminum is considered to be zero.
